Avila Real Estate Capital ("AREC" ) Closes on a $130 million Development Loan

Avila Real Estate Capital (AREC), a growing force in land acquisition and development (“A&D”) lending for the housing industry, is delighted to announce a merger with Pacific InterWest (PIW), a leader in housing quality control and risk mitigation services.

The current amount of existing residential AD&C loans now stands 51% lower than the peak level of residential construction lending of $204 billion reached during the first quarter of 2008. Alternative sources of financing, including equity partners, have supplemented this capital market in recent years."

AREC has successfully closed a $70 million first-lien loan as the lead lender for a Master Planned Community in Northern California.

Avila Real Estate Capital and Encore Capital Management have issued a $362 million loan toward the acquisition of more than 5,500 entitled and partially developed lots in Mountain House, CA a master planned community in the greater Bay Area.
